Advisory Board Application

ProfessionPulse Advisory Board Charter

Purpose:
The ProfessionPulse Advisory Board (hereafter referred to as "the Board") is established to provide strategic guidance, expertise, and insights to Pyrrhic Press, the publisher of the Professionals in Business Journal (Quarterly), in shaping the direction and content of ProfessionPulse. The Board aims to ensure that ProfessionPulse remains relevant, insightful, and impactful in serving its audience of business professionals.

Authority:
The Board is advisory in nature and does not have decision-making authority. Its recommendations and guidance will be considered by Pyrrhic Press in the development and implementation of ProfessionPulse initiatives.

Composition:
The Board shall consist of individuals with diverse expertise and experience relevant to the goals and target audience of ProfessionPulse. Members shall be appointed based on their demonstrated knowledge, experience, and contributions to their respective fields.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Strategic Guidance: Provide strategic direction and guidance to Pyrrhic Press in shaping the vision, goals, and content strategy of ProfessionPulse.
Subject Matter Expertise: Offer insights, expertise, and perspectives on relevant topics and trends in business, finance, technology, marketing, law, human resources, entrepreneurship, diversity and inclusion, environmental sustainability, ethics, and corporate social responsibility.
Review and Feedback: Review proposed content, initiatives, and strategies for ProfessionPulse and provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.
Networking and Outreach: Leverage personal and professional networks to identify potential contributors, collaborators, and opportunities to enhance the visibility and impact of ProfessionPulse.
Advocacy: Serve as ambassadors for ProfessionPulse within their respective industries and communities, advocating for the publication's mission and values.
Meetings:
The Board shall convene regularly, at least quarterly, either in person or virtually, to discuss strategic initiatives, review progress, and address any relevant issues or concerns. Additional meetings may be called as needed.

Term of Service:
Members shall serve a renewable term of two years, with the option for extension based on mutual agreement between the member and Pyrrhic Press.

Conflicts of Interest:
Members of the Board shall disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to their involvement with ProfessionPulse or Pyrrhic Press and refrain from participating in discussions or decisions where such conflicts may arise.

Confidentiality:
Board discussions, deliberations, and any sensitive information shared during meetings shall be treated as confidential and not disclosed to external parties without explicit consent from Pyrrhic Press.

Amendments:
This charter may be amended with the mutual agreement of Pyrrhic Press and the Board, provided that such amendments are in alignment with the purpose and objectives of the Board.

Approval:
This charter is approved by Pyrrhic Press and shall be effective upon the establishment of the ProfessionPulse Advisory Board, December 30,2023.
