Nominate an Educator
LAPPSE Educator Nomination
Great educators are often remembered for far more than the subjects they teach.
They are remembered for noticing the student who was struggling.
For staying a little longer.
For finding another way to explain something.
For believing in someone before that student learned to believe in themselves.
LAPPSE invites the community to help us recognize educators whose work reflects that level of commitment.
Who Can Be Nominated?
LAPPSE nominations are intended for educators working within public-school environments.
Nominees may include educators whose work demonstrates exceptional commitment in areas such as:
-
Literacy and reading
-
Special education
-
Mathematics
-
Science and STEM
-
Accessibility and inclusion
-
Student support
-
Innovative teaching
-
Classroom leadership
-
Community engagement
-
Exceptional dedication to students
A nominee does not need to be nationally recognized, widely published, or hold a particular title.
Sometimes the educators who make the greatest difference are simply the ones who continue showing up for their students every day.
