Persistent Identification

Pyrrhic Press supports persistent identifiers for scholarly publications when available and appropriate.

Persistent identifiers may be used to support stable citation, identification, metadata exchange, discovery, and preservation.

Author Identification

Authors are encouraged to provide an ORCID identifier when available.

ORCID information may be included in publication metadata to support accurate author identification and attribution.

Pyrrhic Press seeks to maintain accurate and interoperable scholarly metadata.

Publication metadata may include:

Article Level Publication

Each scholarly journal article should have an individual publication record and stable URL through which the article or its full text can be accessed.

Publication Dates

Published research articles display a publication date.

Pyrrhic Press also seeks to display submission and acceptance dates for peer reviewed research articles.

ISSN Information

Each journal will display its confirmed ISSN or ISSNs on its journal homepage.

Journal titles and ISSN information should correspond to the official ISSN record.

Publishing Schedule

Each Pyrrhic Press journal maintains and publicly identifies its own publishing frequency or publication schedule.

The publisher seeks to maintain the stated schedule. Material changes to a journal's publication frequency should be reflected on the journal website.

Digital Preservation

Pyrrhic Press recognizes long term preservation as an important part of maintaining the scholarly record.

Published research may be preserved through publisher controlled storage, backups, repositories, archives, and appropriate independent preservation services.

Pyrrhic Press will identify specific preservation or archiving services only when participation or deposit can be verified.

Repository Deposit and Self Archiving

Authors may deposit and share Pyrrhic Press open access articles through appropriate institutional, disciplinary, scholarly, or general purpose repositories according to the applicable open license and third party rights.

Indexing and Discovery

Pyrrhic Press seeks broad discovery of scholarly work through accurate metadata, persistent identifiers, repositories, search systems, scholarly databases, and appropriate indexing services.

Pyrrhic Press will only claim inclusion in an index, database, repository, registry, or discovery service when that inclusion can be verified.

Long Term Access

Pyrrhic Press seeks to maintain continued access to published scholarly content and to develop preservation arrangements intended to protect the scholarly record if the publisher or a journal ceases operation.

Version Integrity

Corrections, retractions, and other significant post publication changes should be clearly associated with the affected publication whenever practicable.

Pyrrhic Press seeks to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record rather than silently replacing materially changed research without appropriate notice.

Website Access

Full text open access scholarly articles are available without reader registration, subscription, or payment.

Each journal maintains a dedicated journal homepage and individual publication records for its scholarly articles.
